Position:
Registered Nurse (FT - 36 hours/week, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
Primary Patient Population:
Medical Unit 4 North – Blended acuity population; focused on cardiac telemetry
Unit Size:
30 beds
Target Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:
1:5 to 1:6, subject to change based on census and patient care needs

Eligible for Frontline Force Hire-On Incentive – up to $25,000 for experienced nurses and $15,000 for new grads
$5/hr night shift differential; $1/hr weekend differential
12-month nurse residency program for new graduates
Summary
Guided by knowledge of the basic principles of nursing based on the biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences, utilizes judgment supported by evidence and nursing theory in the delivery of nursing care. Provides, coordinates and/or delegates nursing care and manages resources in the delivery of care for patients, the family of patients and the community, with the goal of attaining, maintaining and restoring optimum health.
Formal Education Required
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Applicants with an Associate’s degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment
Graduate of a program of professional nursing accredited by CCNE or ACEN
Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio
Experience And Training Required
PRN RNs must have at least one year of recent experience in the area of practice
One year of related RN experience is required for weekend option positions
Additional related experience and/or preparation may be required for specialty units
Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications
Full range of motion with ability to lift and move patients; manual dexterity and eye–hand coordination
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
Ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours
Exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, hazardous substances, and other clinical risks
Maintains Basic Life Support certification; ACLS required for areas including critical care, progressive care, medical telemetry, PACU, and ED within specified timelines
Population Specific Competency
Additional education or certifications may be required for specialty areas (e.g., PALS, NIH, Non-Violet Crisis Intervention)
Ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations with respect and dignity
Level Of Physical Demands
Heavy: Exerts 50–100 pounds of force occasionally; 25–50 pounds frequently
