RN – Experienced RNs Earn Up to $25,000 Hire-On Incentive Location: Summa Health System – Barberton Campus Unit: 4S Medical Surgical Unit Schedule: Full-Time, 36 hrs/week, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., every other weekend/holiday Primary patient population: This unit primarily provides care for medical patients requiring tele monitoring and may include progressive care-level patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary/neurovascular treatment plans. Unit size: 24-bed unit. Target nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 (subject to change based on census and patient care needs). Salary range: $33.00/hr - $52.00/hr. Base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Provide, coordinate and/or delegate nursing care and manage resources to deliver care for patients, their families, and the community with the goal of attaining, maintaining and restoring optimum health. Apply knowledge of basic nursing principles based on biological, physical, and psychosocial sciences; use judgment supported by evidence and nursing theory. Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills in a hospital setting, including tele monitoring and cardiovascular/pulmonary/neurovascular treatment plans as appropriate for the unit. Formal Education Required

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body Current license to practice registered nursing in the state of Ohio Experience and Training Required

Per diem RNs must have at least one year of recent experience in the area of practice. Two years of related RN experience required for all float positions; for critical care, experience must include intensive and/or coronary care; for telemetry, experience must include telemetry. Additional related experience and/or preparation may be required for specialty units. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications

Requires full range of motion including lifting/moving patients; dexterity; and eye-hand coordination. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions; risk of falls, strains, etc. Maintains current Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within specified timelines for critical care, telemetry, PACU, and ED roles, or within six weeks of hire if not credentialed. Heavy work; may exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and 10-20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
