Maintenance Engineer
to join our pharmaceutical client in Elkhorn, NE. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions. Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Base pay range
$35.00/hr - $40.00/hr Schedule
Able to work weekends & extended shifts (i.e. 10 hrs., 12 hrs.) as per business needs. Duties and Responsibilities
Respond and assist in recovery and repair of utilities and production equipment. Troubleshoot failed electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic components utilizing basic and advanced problem-solving techniques, including knowledge of test equipment and predictive maintenance tools. Complete assigned preventative maintenance actions per OEM and engineering standards, including minor and major overhauls, calibration, inspections, and basic cleaning and lubricating. Complete basic and advanced corrective action repairs supporting safety, quality, and equipment reliability. Perform fabrication tasks using shop equipment such as mills, lathes, drill press, and welding methods. Utilize computerized maintenance management software (e.g., SAP) to review work, generate work requirements, and document completion. Support training of autonomous maintenance teams in operation principles, basic inspection, and routine maintenance activities. Participate in basic and advanced problem-solving initiatives to support site continual improvement; knowledge of TPM/Lean is desired. Work in a team environment with honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability. Education Minimum Requirement
High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associates degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Nice to have – Certifications
OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E certification ARCH FLASH TRAINING 3RD GRADE BOILER Required Skills
Proven track record of safe work with demonstrated safety leadership examples. Ability to troubleshoot AC & DC drive systems, PLC and electrical controls. Working knowledge of motor controls, programmable logic and I/O; SAP experience a plus. MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to read and interpret blueprints; knowledge of TPM/Lean and continual improvement processes. Strong mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting skills; knowledge of electrical standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 70E). Experience with electrical and mechanical drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics; ability to use test equipment (multimeter, megger, etc.). Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors; ability to interpret machine, electrical and facility drawings. Familiar with CMMS and control systems; self-management and unsupervised work capability. Continuous improvement mindset; good communication with operators, technicians, and resources. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions; understanding of automated equipment operation. Understand operating principles and function of electrical control and power components and circuits in automated equipment; ability to diagnose industrial circuits used in control and distribution.
