LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Production Control Manager to join our client's organization in the Dekalb, IL area. This position offers the opportunity to oversee and coordinate production schedules in a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves working with a variety of machinery and collaborating across departments to support efficient operations. Supervise, establish, and coordinate production schedules to ensure continuous flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across all departments Coordinate Production Control activities to prevent outages, minimize wait times, control inventory, and optimize scheduling Collaborate with managers and supervisors to plan, review, release, and stage materials for shop orders Monitor work order execution and adjust schedules as needed Utilize and update planning and scheduling tools, including ERP/Portal systems Identify and communicate potential bottlenecks or capacity restraints, and propose solutions Create and maintain production plans and schedules to meet budgeted plant output; encourage process improvements and facilitate problem-solving teams Ensure team members follow all required system tasks and procedures Review and understand current and upcoming production plans to alert manufacturing teams Qualifications
BS Degree preferred or equivalent education/experience Five years of manufacturing experience, with at least three years in planning/scheduling roles Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; able to work with non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, collaborative environment Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies 401k + 3% match PTO 2 weeks vacation in first year & week of personal days Employee Wellness Initiatives Upward mobility Development and training Paid sick leave where applicable by state law Equal Opportunity
