Briggs and Morgan, P.A. (now Taft Law) . Taft is currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join the Litigation and Real Estate teams in Minneapolis. All Taft employees operate under a “Client First” philosophy—in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients. We are seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Litigation/Real Estate team in our Minneapolis office. Duties And Responsibilities Provides skilled, proactive administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and others as needed. Exhibits outstanding client service orientation in greeting guests, scheduling meetings, and conducting telephone conferences. Assists in managing client contacts, emails, and print documents as well as processing mail. Prepares and reviews documents, letters and memoranda according to Firm standards using word processing software and document management systems. Proactively monitors deadlines and maintains communication with attorneys regarding same. Processes requests for payment and reimbursements. Enters attorney billable hours into the firm billing program and assists with the billing process. Creates, maintains and retires files in accordance with Taft’s Information Governance Policy. Drafts basic documents and filings. E-files documents with the courts. Responds to requests with a sense of urgency and effectively prioritizes work. Clearly communicates in a concise, professional manner. Displays strong attention to detail. Requirements At least 1 year of litigation-related Legal Assistant experience strongly preferred. Education beyond high school or coursework related to the legal industry preferred. Proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. The salary range for this position is $30.00/hour – $41.00/hour. The range reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for the position and individual pay is determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. How to apply
