Overview
The Financial Center Manager I (Oakley) at First Financial Bank is responsible for achieving specified banking center and staff performance goals, profitability, deposit and loan growth, and fee income. The FCM will build and lead a team focused on providing clients with an exceptional experience by presenting financial solutions to meet clients’ needs. The role emphasizes client focus, integrity, and community involvement, with accountability for new client acquisition, retention, and growth of core relationships, as well as non-interest revenue. The FCM will foster internal partnerships within First Financial Bank to meet client needs and contribute to market growth, create a team-oriented environment, and support associate development and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Model the way for peers and coworkers aligned with First Financials Mission and Values.
Maintain a banking center environment and commitment to exceptional client experience to foster client loyalty and relationship development.
Ensure banking center performance goals are met or exceeded, and support the District and Region goals.
Foster an inclusive, team-oriented environment; lead communication efforts and team collaboration at every level.
Develop and lead a team knowledgeable in bank products, processes, policies, and procedures; promote collaboration across teams.
Oversee daily operations, audit scores, and sales execution; open deposit accounts, accept and key loan applications, close loans, and coach the branch team in growing accounts (loans and deposits) for both consumer and business clients.
Actively manage onboarding of new clients and ensure timely client follow-up calls.
Manage overall financial center sales and performance; understand impact on District and company goals; provide coaching and recognition; update progress toward goals.
Develop strong business relationships with key partners (Business Specialists, Worklife Specialists, Financial Wellness Advisors, Preferred/Private Bankers, Wealth Advisors, Mortgage Officers, Commercial Partners) to deepen client relationships and referrals.
Integrate into the community to develop outside sales opportunities through visibility and participation in community groups and events.
Manage day-to-day activities aligned with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including ensuring quality client experience, onboarding clients, leading daily huddles and team meetings, and recruiting/coaching associates.
Assist District Leader and Retail Regional President with interviewing prospective candidates; ensure associates actively manage client relationships; develop associates through coaching and joint sales calls.
Serve as a liaison between peers, the District Leader, and the Retail Regional President to support retail-wide initiatives and engagement.
Maintain all operational and risk management standards; contribute to district/region initiatives and communications.
Note: Typically the Financial Center Manager III is responsible for leading a single office.
Compliance: adhere to all applicable compliance and regulatory procedures (e.g., BSA, Check 21, CIP, CRA, HMDA, Reg B/D/E, Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Privacy, Patriot Act).
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1-2 years of coaching/mentoring in a retail environment.
1-2 years of personal experience in sales and service with a track record of achieving sales and service goals.
1-2 years of demonstrated success in achieving performance goals.
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or banking-related experience preferred.
1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Occasionally lifts and carries up to 50 lbs; frequently lifts and carries up to 10 lbs; frequently sits, stands, walks, and drives.
