Business Analyst - Oracle HCM

Overview
This position supports enterprise-wide HR systems, providing technical and functional guidance across core human resources functions. You'll work closely with both technical teams and HR stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery, ongoing support, and strategic system enhancements. The focus is on improving how HR technology supports organizational goals, particularly within an Oracle-based HCM environment. Core Responsibilities
Serve as a key point of contact for resolving technical issues in HR systems, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Support HR staff across locations by providing timely assistance and troubleshooting guidance. Monitor and maintain system performance, resolving unexpected outcomes or workflow issues. Facilitate clear communication with HR leadership, IT teams, and compliance stakeholders regarding system concerns. Collaborate with developers and analysts to address system bugs and ensure timely resolution. Oversee application of updates, fixes, and patches, including testing and validation phases. Deliver user support and refreshers to ensure continued adoption and proper system use. Assist in the planning and execution of HR system upgrades and new functionality rollouts. Make adjustments to system configurations based on changes in business requirements or workforce structures. Act as a liaison between HR and IT during project development, particularly on projects involving payroll, benefits, recruitment, and talent tools. Support integration of internal and third-party applications into the HR technology ecosystem. Manage permissions, roles, workflows, and module settings across multiple HCM platforms. Provide detailed documentation and business case justifications for proposed system changes or enhancements. Evaluate new tools and approaches for delivering HR services more efficiently through technology. Gather data needs from HR and other departments to produce insights and dashboards. Design custom reports and data outputs for internal use and external compliance requirements. Maintain and improve existing reporting processes and documentation. Provide ad-hoc support for data requests and help develop reusable reporting templates. Key Qualifications
Experience working within HR systems (especially Oracle HCM platforms or similar). Solid understanding of HR domains such as benefits, payroll, talent, and compliance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly. Skilled in managing multiple priorities and balancing short-term needs with long-term system strategies. Familiarity with data integrity, change management, and user adoption principles. Ability to work across departments and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience developing queries (SQL or similar) is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
