About the Role Studio Zubio is seeking a Project Producer to help us bring our first playable video game demo of Bunderkin to life—a 6–10 minute vertical slice developed in Unreal Engine 5. You’ll act as the organizational backbone of the team, helping guide developers, artists, animators, and leadership toward our March deadline.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive communicator who knows how to manage creative teams and production pipelines in indie game or animation development.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain the production schedule (milestones, weekly goals, asset deadlines)
Coordinate and track tasks across departments: dev, art, animation, writing, design
Facilitate weekly sprint planning, check-ins, and standups
Identify blockers early and help resolve cross-team communication gaps
Work with leadership to manage budget and resource allocation
Create simple, clean reporting tools to track progress toward our March vertical slice deadline
Support milestone delivery and submission-ready builds
Ideal Skills & Experience
2+ years experience in game, animation, or VFX production
Deep familiarity with creative pipelines (ideally in Unreal, Maya, or animation-heavy projects)
Skilled in task-tracking tools (e.g., Notion, ShotGrid, Trello, Airtable, ClickUp, etc.)
Exceptional communicator and time manager
Experience managing small creative teams with multiple departments and overlapping workflows
Positive, calm demeanor—able to adapt and help others do the same
Nice to Have
Previous work on a vertical slice or Kickstarter game demo
Familiarity with indie pipelines and lean production
Passion for storytelling, animation, or whimsical worldbuilding
