Retail Store Manager role at Circle K with responsibilities across leadership, operations, customer service, and store performance. Responsibilities
Recruit, hire and train employees, ensuring excellent customer service. Develop, manage and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, stocked, organized, and maintained to Company standards. Maintain a professional image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedule employees within Company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image. Apply non-discriminatory management practices during hiring, training, counseling, motivating and separating employees. Develop positive relationships with suppliers and promote excellent service; resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Promote a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community. Prepare ongoing and timely performance appraisals in writing and provide performance-based feedback. Train all employees to meet customer service, site image and marketing standards. Ensure safety procedures are followed and promote safety awareness. Establish timely and effective communication with all site employees and the Market Manager. Evaluate and develop action plans to achieve site objectives; organize and maintain site files and manuals. Manage store employees to ensure reports are completed accurately and on time; ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly. Ensure employment-related posters and signs are accessible to all employees. Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize sales and net profits; budget and forecast P&L lines and manage margins. Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed; perform financial analysis to maximize profits. Perform duties indoors with occasional outdoor work (e.g., parking lot and pump areas); handle occasional cold temperatures and noise; work with minimal supervision. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience in retail sales preferred. Experience to perform the essential duties and responsibilities described. Ability to supervise and train staff on equipment and materials listed in related job descriptions. Ability to supervise and manage related functions listed in CSR/ASM job descriptions. Ability to use computer and analyze reports, inventory control, cash control, and counseling notices. Valid driver’s license and transportation to/from bank and meetings. Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Working Conditions
Primarily indoors but may require outdoor work for maintenance tasks (parking lots, gas pumps, waste removal). Occasional exposure to cold temperatures in walk-in cooler or freezer. Occasional exposure to noise; work with minimal supervision. Equal Employment Opportunity
