Overview
Senior Accountant, GAAP Reporting at Corebridge Financial. This role focuses on timely and accurate external reporting of financial information in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. Responsibilities include supporting the consolidation of the Company’s Financial Statements, maintaining data integrity, and driving process improvements. Collaboration with various Finance teams (Controllership, Investments, and component teams) is required. Responsibilities
Contribute to the timely and accurate delivery of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including Statements of Equity and Cash Flows. Partner with the SEC Reporting team in preparation and validation of required SEC disclosures for inclusion in the 10-Q and 10-K and ensure compliance with US GAAP and all financial SEC requirements. Collaborate with, and provide expertise to, other teams inside and outside of Controllership related to ledger expertise. Collaborate with Controllership, Systems/IT, Finance Center and other key functions to ensure complex transactions are properly reflected in the consolidated financial statements, identify and resolve issues during quarter close, and maintain a strong feedback loop to drive continuous process improvement. Strengthen the control environment and implement process improvements (e.g., Project Partner), with a focus on enhancing technology usage and automated solutions as Corebridge transforms its Finance function. Support and contribute to projects and workstreams related to significant transactions and ad hoc activities (acquisitions, spin-offs, de-consolidations, re-segmentations, capital transactions, etc.). Qualifications
Qualified CPA or CPA candidate (preferred but not required) with a minimum of 3+ years of experience. Strong operational and technical accounting experience with U.S. GAAP. Some financial services or Big 4 experience is preferred but not required. Expertise in general ledger software; SAP and BPC a plus. Strong problem solving, structuring, and ability to influence senior leaders. Experience operating in a dynamic, transformational environment with a focus on process improvement. Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen and advanced change and project management skills. Proven success in creating or upgrading the function and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ability to adapt leadership style to different situations. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation development and delivery, with ability to work effectively across teams. Resilient and persistent with a drive to persevere. The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000 at commencement. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end; actual compensation will depend on factors including geographic location, skills, experience, and other qualifications. Work Location
