Position Overview The Communications Support Specialist II plays a key role in developing and executing communication strategies to support organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and stakeholder engagement. This role focuses on translating complex business information into clear, engaging, and visually appealing messages that drive understanding, alignment, and adoption across various internal and external audiences.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with exceptional writing, visual storytelling, and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Analysis & Communication Planning
Facilitate stakeholder impact analyses to identify target audiences and assess the effects of organizational changes
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand project objectives, scope, and audience needs
Recommend effective communication strategies, channels, and messaging approaches to ensure clarity and engagement
Content Development & Design
Develop clear, engaging, and visually compelling communication materials including:
Emails, newsletters, and intranet articles
Infographics, PowerPoint decks, and visual illustrations
FAQs, leader talking points, and 1-page summaries
Training and Change Adoption Materials Create visual aids that simplify complex business issues and outline sustainable solutions using tools like PowerPoint and Canva.
Execution & Delivery
Coordinate and manage the execution of communication campaigns to ensure timely delivery according to project timelines
Work collaboratively across departments to ensure message consistency and alignment with corporate communication standards
Performance Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies through feedback, analytics, and engagement metrics
Adjust and refine communication approaches to improve clarity, impact, and audience engagement
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related field
3–5 years of experience in communications, change management support, or stakeholder engagement
Proven ability to summarize and synthesize complex information into concise and engaging content
Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
Proficiency with PowerPoint, Canva, and basic graphic design tools
Understanding of change management strategies and techniques
Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
Ability to anticipate risks and communication barriers and propose mitigation strategies
Demonstrated agility and adaptability to changing business priorities
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in corporate communications or utility/energy sector
Familiarity with Prosci or other structured change management methodologies
Working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, and Intranet content management systems
Experience supporting enterprise-level transformation or technology projects
