Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: New York (must be willing to work out of our NY studio few times a month)
Reports to: CFO
Annual Salary Range: $70,000.00
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources department. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and HRIS management. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations and helping foster a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
Prepare onboarding materials and conduct orientations for new hires.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in both physical and digital formats.
Enroll LTD at 90 day employment, audit CIGNA portal 10th of every month.
Plan and utilize health-fund from CIGNA.
Work with broker/vendors during renewals and provide accurate census.
Assist with 401K platform when necessary.
Administer employee benefits and serve as a point of contact for benefits-related questions.
Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, company events, and internal communications.
Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to HR-related queries.
Maintain and update the HRIS database; generate reports as needed.
Work closely with the accounting team to review bi-weekly time sheets.
Ensure workers comp claims are followed up with the provider.
Assist CFO and accounting team on projects.
To Succeed In This Role
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role preferred.
Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices. CA/NY
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR software Paylocity.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
