This role supports our data platform and application development efforts and works across Technology and our businesses to drive strategic initiatives from concept to execution. You will hold prime responsibility for entity-based platform development on Azure—architecting and building scalable solutions—while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in both IT and the business. Success requires a unique blend of hands‑on engineering depth and the ability to influence teams toward the right technical decisions. You will work directly on our core data platform with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL, with opportunities to contribute to AI‑driven solutions. Responsibilities

Design and develop an entity‑based data platform that underpins wealth management applications and downstream analytics. Set the long‑term architecture vision and standards for data platforms, including security, governance, quality, and performance. Translate logical data designs into physical models across lakehouse/warehouse patterns; map end‑to‑end data flows through ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption. Deliver complex, end‑to‑end solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Power BI. Engineer and maintain lake and warehouse schematics and layouts across relational and non‑relational stores to enable data access and advanced analytics. Apply best‑practice data engineering (ELT/ETL, orchestration, CI/CD, testing, observability) to build robust, reusable pipelines at scale. Partner with stakeholders (product, application engineering, data governance, security) and communicate progress, dependencies, and risks in a timely manner; elevate issues as needed. Champion platform scalability and cost effectiveness, aligning design choices with business priorities and growth. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of hands‑on experience building and operating large‑scale data platforms in production. Proven experience delivering enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with data architecture principles, governance, and security standards. Exposure to AI/ML workflows or interest in contributing to AI‑enabled solutions. Skills

Microsoft Data Platform Cloud solutions. Data ingestion and storage: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake. Data engineering: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, with Python and T‑SQL. Relational databases: Azure SQL; NoSQL databases: Cosmos DB. Analytics and BI: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Ability to influence and collaborate across cross‑functional teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture. Familiarity with Databricks/Fabric advanced features and AI integration. Compensation Range

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $95,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
