Lead solution architect activities within the Data & AI Practice to understand client challenges and deliver high-value solutions and services. Engage in solutioning and support on strategic opportunities; intervene in high-risk, complex deliveries; shape strategic direction using data platforms, reporting, self-service analytics, real-time intelligence and AI engineering. Leverage modern data platforms, visualizations, advanced analytics, machine learning, IoT/Digital Twins and applied intelligence to help clients gain business insights and optimize operations. Collaborate to shape architectural direction for data platforms and related solutions. Actively engage in sales and business development opportunities with clients. Skills and Experiences
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft and Databricks. Experience in Data, Applied Intelligence, Automation, IoT and related technologies. Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner ecosystem to ensure customer success. High energy and ability to explain AI industry trends and product/service evolution. Experience creating technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs involving AI concepts, with focus on scaling AI across enterprises. Understanding of responsible data platform and migration principles, regulatory frameworks, and how to address risks while delivering solutions. Ability to create design artifacts and present them for approval at architectural forums with multi-disciplined stakeholders. In-depth understanding of modern Data & AI capabilities (structured/unstructured data, streaming data, IoT, AI, GenAI) and related analytics fields. Experience designing and delivering large-scale Data Platform solutions (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Fabric, Cloud Scale Analytics, etc.) with attention to performance, security, and reliability. Comfortable engaging and leading sales and business development opportunities with clients. About You
You are passionate about tech and engaging with and advising clients. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, and implementation of highly distributed applications; extensive experience with large enterprise cloud data workloads. Strong communication skills; able to orchestrate, lead, and influence remote teams; capable of presenting to senior client executives. Provide technical leadership on client projects, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts. Contribute to Avanade’s sales process by crafting solutions that win business and outlining high-level design, estimates, and contractual details for proposals. Coach and mentor junior colleagues within your team and across the organization. Translate complex technical concepts into audience-appropriate language and present value-based outcomes to senior stakeholders and internal teams. Engage early with clients and the sales team to support origination, requirements capture, and solutioning; build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor; participate in deal reviews and client negotiations. Collaborate with Data & AI leadership to shape current and future offerings, accelerators, and background IP to support go-to-market activities. Drive the evolution of best practices for AI development, including data management, model training, fine-tuning, and deployment. Lead development of data and analytics platforms, real-time intelligence and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure Data Services, Fabric and Databricks. Stay informed about latest Data & AI advancements and incorporate relevant innovations into solutions. Identify cross-industry solutions at scale and execute initiatives including Data Migration, Automation Migration, Visualization/Reporting, and Core Data Platform Modernization and Governance.
