Our Abilene, TX office is hiring a new Account Executive (salary + commission) to help bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Abilene, Texas and the surrounding areas. We cover several West Texas markets including Abilene, San Angelo & Brownwood and the rural markets around those. What’s in it for you?
A Monday-Friday hybrid work schedule with paid holidays, with a combination of time in-office and selling in the field First-year earning potential of $40,000 - $100,000 including commissions, dependent on experience and selling ability No commission cap, so earning potential is unlimited as you grow your book of business Monthly auto and cell allowances for work-related expenses What can you expect from us?

Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in person Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures Align with our values of inclusivity and effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds Motivation to learn new technology and systems Time management and self-organization Willingness to immerse yourself in the outdoor advertising industry with the intent of selling its benefits Professional written and verbal communication Ability to perform effectively under fluctuating workloads Ability to meet a sales quota and apply general sales techniques Intrinsic self-motivation to overcome challenges and meet goals Resilience in response to rejection Education And Experience
Current and valid driver’s license required College degree preferred Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite CRM experience preferred Please note : Upon submitting your application, you may be asked to complete an 8-15 minute personality assessment. Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports Target businesses in the assigned area and visit Lamar clients and competitor clients within a defined time frame Demonstrate working knowledge of local and national competition Cluster accounts to work efficiently Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts Use Lamar tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals and presentations Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly Develop product knowledge and selling skills Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows Perform administrative duties: maintain sales plans, follow up on client production orders, and keep records up to date Physical Demands And Work Environment
Office and field-based work with travel as needed Light lifting; vision requirements for reading and depth perception; ability to sit, stand, and walk Nights away from home travel less than 10% Who We Are
