Overview
District Sales Manager, South West – Remote position based in Texas. Responsible for growth of Grundfos products in the Industry (IND) channel within the APR (Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana). Grundfos is a Great Place to Work certified company and seeks a DSM to develop and execute a territory growth plan, manage distributor networks, and drive sales to end users, contractors, and OEMs. What is the job about?
As a District Sales Manager, you will grow sales by defining, measuring, analysing, improving, and monitoring key activities. You will engage Key Decision Makers (KDMs) and maintain relationships with distributors to increase Grundfos market share in the industrial market. You may work anywhere in Texas and operate remotely. Your main responsibilities
Sales: Facilitate the sale of Grundfos products to end users, contractors, and OEMs; provide guidance and support to distributors to maintain existing business and grow new business; build and deepen relationships with KDMs to influence purchases.
Territory Planning / Channel Development: Develop knowledge of the industrial climate, know KDMs, applications and competition within the APR; create and execute a territory growth plan; ensure coverage and relationships with KDMs; manage channel conflicts in line with Grundfos culture.
Training / Mentoring: Provide training on Grundfos products, applications, online tools, processes, and sales tools including Value Selling to distributors.
Your background
We imagine you have: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience.
3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience with industrial distribution or related markets is an advantage.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; professional sales skills including key account strategies and plans.
Ability to network and build relationships; knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, rotating equipment, and electronically controlled pump systems (VFDs, controllers, etc.).
Ability to present product information to all management levels for internal and external audiences.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record; ability to travel up to 60% overnight within the assigned area and internationally (passport required).
Relocation for this position cannot be supported; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for various US work visa statuses.
