The Cardiometabolic Account Specialist (CAS) is a field-based role responsible for the launch of Ionis’s first wholly owned commercial product within the territory and will have a deep understanding of the healthcare market and the Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) community. The CAS will drive performance and collaborate with cross-functional partners and external customers to support Ionis goals and patient care. Responsibilities

Understand customer objectives and needs to improve patient outcomes by building and leveraging networks within the local healthcare system. Develop and execute business plans to meet customer and Ionis goals as a cross-functional teammate with integrity and compliance with Ionis Code of Ethics. Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on FCS disease state, diagnostic pathways, and treatment options. Contribute to conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings to educate HCPs on FCS. Gather insights to profile accounts and inform product sales and marketing strategy. Identify and document potential HCPs treating FCS to inform commercial strategy. Develop territory strategic account plans and adjust strategies to meet business goals in collaboration with field and brand leadership. Participate in training programs on brand messaging, disease state, and customer engagement tactics; certify on approved labels and policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality customer and patient experiences in a compliant manner. Share learnings with field teams and leadership and engage through compliant multi-channel approaches. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of pharma sales experience across the listed competencies (new product launches, account-based selling, HCP/IDN engagement, cross-functional field coordination, independent territory management) Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and related sub-specialties treating FCS Familiarity with the Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) community Established relationships with key opinion leaders and major accounts Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies; track record navigating complex accounts Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs Compensation and Benefits
