Outside Sales Representative - Waterworks & Irrigation
Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our Waterworks division. This field-based sales role serves customers in the Northern Colorado area, primarily north of Interstate 70 from the Continental Divide to the Craig and Meeker area. A fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone and laptop will be provided.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, while collaborating with branch associates to ensure customer satisfaction from order through delivery and beyond.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the current customer base, working with management to develop sales strategies and target new accounts.
Perform duties including product quotation and problem resolution.
Analyze competition in the territory, devise sales strategy, and communicate the strategy to management.
Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
Document all sales activity in the internal Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce) for ongoing evaluation of the new business pipeline and sales closure results.
Qualifications
2+ years of industry-related sales experience preferred
Strong technical background and experience in water and/or wastewater industry preferred
Results oriented, self-motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, able to build relationships and work in a team environment
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
Problem solving, leadership and listening skills
General digital literacy
Self-motivator with ability to multi-task and learn quickly
Compensation This is a base plus commission eligible role, with no cap on your commission. The estimated total compensation range, based on performance and experience, is $80,000-$130,000+.
