Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our Waterworks division! This field-based sales role supports customers in the Northern Colorado area—north of Interstate 70 from the Continental Divide to the Craig and Meeker area. A fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone, and laptop will be provided.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, working with branch associates to ensure satisfaction from order to delivery and beyond.
Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by working with management to develop sales strategies and new account targeting.
Perform various duties including product quotation and problem resolution.
Analyze competition in territory, devise sales strategy, and communicate strategy to management.
Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
Document all sales activity performed in Salesforce for ongoing evaluation of the new business pipeline and measurement of sales closure results.
Qualifications
2+ years of industry-related sales experience (preferred).
Strong technical background in water and/or wastewater industry (preferred).
Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, build relationships, and enjoy a team environment.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Problem‑solving, leadership, and listening skills.
General digital literacy.
Self‑motivator, able to multi‑task and learn quickly.
Compensation & Benefits This is a base‑plus‑commission eligible role, with no cap on commission. Estimated total compensation ranges from $80,000 to $130,000+ based on performance and experience.
