Overview
A locally owned rapidly growing waste company is seeking a forward-thinking General Manager to lead sustainability and recycling operations supporting large-scale data centers in Monroe, LA. This position will oversee a fleet of 10–12 roll-off trucks, ensuring efficient routing, compliance, and maintenance, while managing daily operations across hauling, sorting, and material recovery. The General Manager will be responsible for optimizing recycling workflows, including the sorting and separation of materials such as concrete, metals, and cardboard, and for maintaining strong offtake relationships with recycling partners and end buyers. Key duties include monitoring KPIs, improving process efficiency, enforcing OSHA and DOT compliance, and ensuring safety and environmental standards are met. This role also oversees employee scheduling and performance for drivers, yard staff, and sorters, while developing strategies that enhance throughput, reduce contamination, and maximize value recovery from recyclable streams. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the General Manager will drive operational excellence and sustainability performance in alignment with the company’s environmental and data center partnership goals. Compensation is $80-120k, based on experience. Responsibilities
