Product Owner - Application Transformation
for a
CONTRACT
assignment with a premier
FINANCIAL SERVICES
client in
Stamford, CT . Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite weekly. Responsibilities
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, design, QA, and operations to deliver high-quality products. Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and align on product strategy. Support and mentor team members to facilitate smooth project execution. Drive product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends and organizational goals. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance. Act independently with strong problem-solving skills and initiative. Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, ensuring adherence to Agile and Scrum methodologies. Lead Program Increment (PI) planning sessions within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. Use tools such as Jira and Confluence for backlog management, documentation, and team collaboration. Coordinate with Release Train Engineers and Scrum Masters to ensure seamless delivery across multiple agile teams. Manage risks, dependencies, and issues that impact delivery timelines and product quality. Ensure product compliance with relevant standards and best practices. Required Skills
Demonstrated 7-10 years of experience in product ownership or similar roles within a technical domain. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Proficiency using tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog management and team collaboration. Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies and driving alignment across multiple teams. Demonstrates a proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership. Strong leadership qualities, including mentoring and supporting multiple teams. Highly organized with the ability to manage complex roadmaps, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
