Human Resource Generalist aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. Runs the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. Assists in the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand staffing needs. Performs routine HR tasks and administers human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; safety and training initiatives. Monitors Worker\'s Compensation Program in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; administers the FMLA process and other medical absence procedures; administers the Drug and Alcohol Program per established policies. Supports payroll department as needed; performs various clerical functions and handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Provides dedicated HR advisory service to employees covering absence/health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and other employee-relations matters. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations; maintains compliance with employment laws and recommended best practices. Qualifications and Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills; working understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures. Resourceful mindset with strong attention to detail; excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment; ability to multi-task and prioritize. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS programs (such as Viewpoint). Bachelor\'s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience; two years related experience preferred; prior labor relations experience is a plus. Experience and Requirements

Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen. Active driver\'s license and ability to drive company vehicles. Physical requirements: ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer; occasional climbing stairs; walking on uneven terrain; lifting up to 50 lbs; able to work in areas not environmentally controlled.
