Job Description
This position is responsible for the support and maintenance of the HRIS in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. This position works with sensitive and/or confidential information and requires knowledge of relational database concepts, web-based document management applications, and analysis techniques. The HRIS Analyst will utilize previously acquired skills in oral and written communication, and skills related to the core functions involved with HR transaction processing, records management, employee onboarding, government reporting, and basic management of enterprise HR systems functionality.
Essential Duties
Communicate with outside agencies and with personnel at all levels of the organization to exchange information related to personnel policies and procedures and provide technical assistance relative to the HRIS and other supported systems
Audit and validate data within various systems to ensure data integrity
Monitor system processes, reports, and user security profiles
Create ad-hoc queries and reports in response to requests for information
Serve as a technical point of contact for functional areas
Test functional changes to the HRIS system and coordinate with all appropriate parties, to include internal and external
Analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities
Coordinate personnel-related system activities with payroll and IT staff
Support HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned
Public Speaking Duties
Conduct meetings with internal and external parties
Lead teams through system design workshops and policy discussions
Deliver training presentations that require dissemination of technical information
Other Job Requirements/Information
This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
Grade The grade for this position is C42(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, human resources, or computer science, and two years of experience in HRIS systems that includes reading test scripts, implementing HR systems, explaining technical systems information, maintaining HRIS software, providing technical systems support; OR
Six years of experience as an HR generalist/specialist that includes two years of experience in HRIS systems reading test scripts, implementing HR systems, explaining technical systems information, maintaining HRIS software, providing technical systems support; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential job duties as listed above and linked below.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with project management, Oracle Cloud HCM and ERP, and SAP On-Premise applications
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including development of technical procedural documentation
Advanced level of report development and delivery
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel formulas and its advanced analysis tools
Experience applying critical thinking skills to aid in software troubleshooting and testing analysis with regression testing in cases where no current guidance exists
Experience demonstrating analytical skills
Intermediate math skills
Skill in tracking and ensuring on-time delivery of projects and tasks
