Position Overview The Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. In this role, the Accountant will be responsible for processing all payments, expenditures, and payroll, preparing the balance sheet, and other financial reports.

Responsibilities

Daily accounting operations surrounding cash, purchasing, AP, and AR

Ensure the monthly bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner

Reviews daily bank balances and prepares weekly cash flow summary and projections for review by Controller

Coordinates with multiple departments to facilitate the purchases of supplies and equipment in accordance with Triage’s SOP

Timely records and reconciles credit card transactions

Tracks and Monitors Fixed Assets

Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using Paylocity

Performs cost accounting activities including job costing, expense analysis, and variance reporting to ensure accurate project financials

Manages completion accounting processes, including project closeout reconciliations, revenue recognition, and completion-based reporting

Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, clearing accounts, payroll and benefits withheld, accrued expenses, long term liabilities, etc.)

Participates in development and implementation of improvements in procedures and internal controls

Assists Controller with preparing budgets and supports forecasting activities

Maintain financial security by following internal controls, verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements

Audits departmental accounting data, identifies and corrects errors, identifies, and computes accruals

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

A minimum of two years' experience as a Corporate Accountant, or in a similar role

Experience working with an investor-owned company or equity firm is highly preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience in a multi-state experience

The ability to direct the entry and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures

Expert experience in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting accounting records, financial reports, and data processing services related to accounting

Experience leading month-end reconciliations

Technical Skills

Expert understanding of automated accounting systems required, QuickBooks a plus

Prior Telecommunications or Construction Experience is highly preferred

Knowledge of, and experienced with, GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles), accrual-based accounting

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially an expert in Excel and Word

Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners

Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of latitude is required for this position

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in high volume environment

Work Environment/Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
