Overview
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the family medicine department and other clinical departments as needed. Collaborating with the Finance and Administrative Officer (FAO), the incumbent will assist in review of budgets, conduct reconciliation activities, understand and apply accounting principles and university policies to work to support accuracy of financial data for the department and complete financial transactions. The full salary range for Financial Analyst is $70,824.96 - $103,585.68 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. Responsibilities

Educational Requirements Degree: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Experience Requirements 2 - 4 years of related experience. Experience working in a financial role with UCR or in an academic/healthcare setting. Preferred Experience Experience using UCR financial tools, EPIC Cube, and/or Tableau. Minimum Requirements
Some knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems. Ability to function as a member of a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment; organizational skills. Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information, organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments. Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally. Additional Information
