Cost Accountant

to their finance team. This position offers the opportunity to combine cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP/system work in a role that has strong visibility to leadership. The right person will have solid experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and an interest in working hands-on with data, systems, and process improvements. This role will be key in supporting operational efficiency, margin analysis, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

Take the lead on cost accounting responsibilities during a major ERP implementation.

Maintain and update cost records, product data, BOMs, routings, and cost structures.

Support data migration from legacy systems and ensure inventory accuracy.

Develop standard costs, analyze variances, and prepare product/category-level margin reporting.

Partner with operations, marketing, and product development on new product evaluations and pricing.

Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and support month-end close.

Provide reporting and models that support leadership on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.

Assist with budgets, audits, and maintaining the fixed asset register.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

ERP implementation or transition experience.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis.

Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
