The Meat and Seafood Manager is responsible for directing team members, managing department inventory, pricing integrity, and other operational processes that require attention to detail. This is a fast-paced role that demands efficiency, effectiveness, and a commitment to delivering excellence. What You'll Do
Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of the department’s prime and premium meat and seafood products, and items for convenient meal solutions, while managing quality product levels according to The Fresh Market standards Make recommendations and accommodate requests Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, and reduce shrink/damage Properly receive and stock goods with rotation standards when replenishing product levels Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of specialty meat, seafood, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner Ensure the training and certification of all Assistant Meat Managers and Meat Cutters Availability
This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. Qualifications
Certifications All The Fresh Market Meat-Seafood Managers must be certified within TFMA within 90 days of hire. At a Minimum, What You’ll Need 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, meat cutting and/or culinary experience Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Must be at least 18 years old Equal Opportunity
