Responsibilities
Manage all housekeeping operations within the community to ensure a high standard of cleanliness inside and outside the community.
Supervise housekeeping staff, directly or through subordinate managers/supervisors, and may supervise other positions.
Plan and schedule cleaning programs (annuals, move-in preparations, carpet cleaning) and coordinate staffing to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, residential units, and grounds.
Oversee inventory control for supplies, chemicals, and equipment; monitor levels and order as needed; ensure safe handling and storage.
Develop and monitor the department budget, approve equipment and supply orders, maintain inventory levels, and monitor budget compliance.
Schedule and conduct training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel.
Ensure staff are trained on safe handling of cleaning chemicals and compliance with safety standards (MSDS, OSHA, EPA and applicable regulations).
Report resident issues or concerns to the Resident Services Director or Executive Director.
Prepare resident charges/billing for housekeeping services when applicable.
Hire, train, discipline, and terminate department employees in line with company policies; may consult with the Executive Director on these decisions.
Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning duties as needed.
Maintain a safe working environment and pursue safe working practices.

Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory/management experience is required.
