Events Coordinator (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to support large-scale corporate events aimed at enhancing customer communities and internal employee engagement. This role involves coordinating logistics, managing communications, and executing creative deliverables to ensure the smooth operation of various events. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong project management skills while contributing to the overall success of high-visibility initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive event plans, manage timelines, and track logistics for multiple events.
Create and maintain data in spreadsheets and forms to ensure accurate tracking of event details.
Update event tooling with speaker and moderator information as needed.
Coordinate volunteers and manage their schedules during events.
Order promotional materials (SWAG) and other necessary supplies for events.
Schedule rooms and scout locations for various corporate events.
Draft attendee communications, promotional materials, and internal updates to keep all stakeholders informed.
Create slide decks, signage, and event posts using Microsoft branding assets.
Provide on-site support during peak event months, particularly in March, ensuring all logistics run smoothly.
Qualifications
Experience should include significant exposure to corporate-level events rather than small-scale or PR events.
Strong experience in large-scale corporate event management (5+ years).
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for documentation and tracking (5+ years).
Excellent professional communication skills with a focus on content creation (5+ years).
A background in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Project Management is preferred.
Ability to manage complex logistics independently with minimal supervision.
Creative eye for design, capable of producing visually appealing event materials.

Duration: 8 Months
Pay Range: $26 - $29.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
