Under general supervision at the full-performance level, these positions perform professional accounting work. They review accounting books from state agencies for conformance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and act as a consultant to agency personnel preparing entries. Perform related work as required.

Responsibilities
Process, approve, and pay draw/payments for loan and grant programs for WV WDA and WV IJDC. Reconcile WV WDA and WV IJDC accounts and programs. Assist in the preparation of annual GAAP based financial statements. Assist outside auditors in the annual audit of the financial statements by providing WV OASIS reports, bank statements, loan files or other information as needed. Prepare daily reports and journal entries to fund payment requests for entities receiving grant and loan funding from WV WDA and WV IJDC. Prepare monthly reports containing total number and amount of binding commitments, loans closed, loans fully distributed, and projects under construction. Maintain, scan, and organize active and closed project files. Training
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and may require up to 24 semester hours in accounting. Preference may be given to applicants with CPA certification, a Master of Professional Accountancy or a Master of Business Administration. Experience
One (1) year of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in preparing or auditing GAAP based audited financial statements or maintaining accounting systems which support the preparation of GAAP based audited financial statements, including substantial experience with applicable software. OR Graduate coursework in the above areas from an accredited college or university may substitute at a rate of fifteen (15) semester hours for every one (1) year of required experience. Salary:
