Overview

The Outside Sales Account Channel Mgr. provides an opportunity for a motivated, self-managed individual to pursue a challenging career in a fast-paced industry. The goal is to increase sales and share of DuPont Performance Building Solutions products by analyzing, developing, maintaining and managing key dealers. The Channel Manager will be the primary contact for demand creators in their territory.

Responsibilities

Focus on dealer maintenance and acquisition of new dealer accounts.

Coach, develop, and guide the demand creator to convert or acquire new builders and to sell the value of DuPont products. Travel as needed.

Serve as the point of contact to provide demand creator information (price, rebates, dealer stocking locations).

Point of contact for key dealers and Co-op partners (Account Executives, Traders).

Monitor market pricing and keep the Territory Manager and Demand Creator informed of pricing and competitive activity.

Coordinate with key dealer locations and support marketing/promotional initiatives (shows, programs; job and customer specific pricing).

Develop, communicate, and execute tactical account plans aligned with national business objectives for strategic distributor locations in the area.

Manage and participate in key dealer shows.

Serve as the contact point for credit issues, new account setup, and order management inquiries.

Identify and assess competitive distribution within the assigned territory.

Provide input to Sales Leader, Market Manager, and Regional Sales Director on needs, trends, and opportunities.

Travel: 60% on the road, 40% in the office.

Daily updates in Salesforce.com (CRM) to record activity, account profiles, opportunities, etc.

Identify and manage opportunity pipeline delivering revenue against business goals.

Conduct continuing education unit (CEU) and product presentations as needed.

Maintain an effective home office while working independently and proactively.

Qualifications Required:

BA/BS preferred

Five years+ of sales experience

Experience in discovering, defining, growing and capturing market opportunities

Proven track record of account development, planning and sales growth

Ability to identify key decision makers and build customer relationships

Team player with collaboration and cross-functional skills

Persuasive with strong negotiation skills

Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation)

Planning and organizing skills to manage the sales process

Interpersonal strength and ability to maintain relationships with team members, partners, customers and end users

Professional with strong business acumen

Ability to work under pressure

Computer proficiency in MS Office

Experience with a CRM system (Salesforce.com preferred)

Overnight travel required up to 60%

Living locally within the assigned territory

Preferred:

Experience in the building and construction industry

Experience solving problems creatively in sales and market development within construction

Flexibility to learn and apply new sales processes (e.g., Challenger Sales)

Experience generating and defending product specifications through a long sales cycle with multiple stakeholders

The wage range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 annually. We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
