Direct Sales Agent Specialist (2722) - Direct Auto role at Direct Auto Insurance. The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales, understanding customers’ needs to build rapport, and retaining a book of business within the market and retail location. This role attracts and generates new customers and cross-sells existing customers across product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance. The role sells to walk-in customers and markets products outside the office via marketing calls and in-person visits to create community relationships and promote growth. Responsibilities

Drive new business sales and build rapport with customers to understand needs and promote suitable insurance products (Auto, Life, Auto Club, Roadside Assistance). Attract and retain customers, generate new business, and cross-sell to existing customers. Sell to walk-in customers and market products outside the office via calls and in-person visits to build community relationships. Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals. Meet performance metrics related to quality, productivity, timeliness, and customer satisfaction while adhering to underwriting guidelines and company policies. Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.

Minimum Qualifications

0–2 years of experience P&C licensing (preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products. Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales and cross-sell/retention of customers. Leverages community contacts and maintains an active local presence to build a network of referrals (car dealerships, local events, community organizations, etc.). Initiates outbound calling to targeted customer bases for product offerings. Monitors local market competitors and suggests initiatives to improve market position. Works with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals. Delivers results within key metrics: quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, compliant with rules and standards. Understands and remains current on underwriting guidelines and company policies. Receives customer payments, issues receipts, and verifies reports of receipts for cash drawers.

Compensation

Unlicensed Candidates: Base compensation $17.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Licensed Candidates (License to sell Auto or P&C): Base compensation $20.00 per hour, based on active license and minimum 6 months of P&C sales experience. Total Compensation: Base hourly rate plus potential incentive pay, such as commissions and bonuses, based on performance.
