You are a creative spirit, with some artistic experience and feel comfortable working with acrylic paint. You have a knack for connecting with people and thrive in delivering a premier customer experience while leading your team to success. You possess excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities. You have at least two years of management experience and are eager to bring your unique artistic flair to our team.
The Role
The
Store Manager
oversees the studio’s daily operations, handling a broad spectrum of tasks including people management. The role ensures a positive customer experience, drives sales, and upholds our high standards of service and operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency: Guarantee the smooth day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring all aspects function seamlessly. Artistic Leadership and Instruction: Lead and assist in painting sessions, providing clear, creative instruction and ensuring excellent execution to create a memorable customer experience. Event Preparation and Management: Ensure all necessary preparations and tasks for special events are completed effectively and efficiently. Kitchen Operations Oversight: Oversee and participate in kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards. Sales and Customer Satisfaction: Drive sales by engaging in superior customer interactions and focusing on customer satisfaction. Visual Standards and Marketing Collateral Management: Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, organization, and accurately implement company guidelines for displaying marketing collateral. Business Performance Reviews: Participate in weekly discussions with Regional Managers to review business highlights, sales, employee performance, operations, and inventory. Individual Employee Engagement: Conduct monthly check-ins with each team member to discuss achievements, opportunities, and provide developmental feedback. Performance Tracking and Reviews: Track employee performance and coordinate annual reviews with Regional Manager and Human Resources. Schedule Management: Maintain monthly schedules created by the Regional Manager to ensure staffing coverage. Time-Off Management: Review and approve time-off requests per policy, with regional oversight on staffing when needed. Timecard Supervision: Review and submit timecards for final approval to the Regional Managers. Compliance and Safety Enforcement: Ensure compliance with alcohol service, safety, and cash handling procedures where applicable. Customer Complaint Resolution: Address in-studio customer complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues to the Regional Manager as needed. Inventory and Order Management: Submit inventory counts and orders for review and process weekly deliveries per guidelines. Facility and Maintenance Coordination: Report facility and maintenance needs via appropriate channels. Innovation and Improvement Contributions: Elevate ideas for studio improvements to the Regional Manager.
Role Requirements
Full-time availability, with a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends.
Required Skills/Abilities
Vibrant personality with artistic proficiency. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent sales, customer service, supervisory, and leadership abilities. Thorough understanding of products and services. Tech-savvy, proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, etc. Reliable transportation, willing to travel up to 20% monthly. Full-time availability and schedule flexibility.
Experience/Education
2+ years of full-time management experience. Bachelor's degree in Art, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; OR equivalent management experience. Applicable formal training in the arts. Prior experience in a customer-focused environment (e.g., bar or restaurant). Prior experience in group art teaching is preferred. Alcohol Safety/TIPS certification (Muse will provide training if needed). ServSafe Manager Certification (Muse will provide training if needed).
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Agility and stamina to move throughout the studio quickly and safely, including tight spaces and on raised surfaces. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with music and large groups. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer. Reliable internet connection. Quiet, professional remote work environment when needed. Reliable technology, including cell phones and computer equipment.
