Responsibilities
Review funding opportunity announcements and interpret sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance with university and sponsor policies. Support Principal Investigators (PIs) in all stages of proposal preparation, including the development of budgets, budget justifications, bio sketches, other support documentation, and sub-award materials. Coordinate with the College of Medicine pre-award office for proposal routing, submission, and review processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Provide guidance to PIs and research staff on best practices, sponsor requirements, and university policies. Monitor active awards for compliance with sponsor, university, and federal requirements. Track expenditures, process budget revisions, and provide projections to assist with financial planning. Assist with gathering documentation from subcontracts including setup and annual reporting. Collaborate with departmental staff to ensure coordination of travel, purchasing requests, and other project-related expenses. Assist with preparing and submitting sponsor reports. Maintain and update the Center for Translational Behavioral Science (CTBS) grant submission and award tracking database to ensure accurate and timely reporting of sponsored activities. Prepare reports for the CTBS leadership, Board of Governors, and other university stakeholders. Contribute to process improvements and the development of resources that strengthen the Center's research infrastructure. Support the CTBS Research Development Core programmatic initiatives including the development of grant templates and guidance materials, management of consent to contact registries, and oversight of the RD Core collaborative platforms. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to five years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.) This position requires successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification , or ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire.
