Packaging Utility Part Time 1st Shift - 500787. This position is responsible for constructing boxes and packing them with products in a Frito-Lay manufacturing facility. The role may involve operating box forming machines and related packaging tasks. This is a part-time role with an average of 24-32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Construct boxes and pack them with Frito-Lay products, manually or with automated equipment.
• Run, fill, and changeover automated machines that construct boxes.
• Maintain a consistent supply of the correct cartons to each production line.
• Sort and remove bad cartons; recycle materials in appropriate locations.
• Perform frequent quality checks (labels, boxes, code dates, seals).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area (safety is everyone\'s job).
• Clean and sanitize lines during changeovers between products.
• Set up lines during changeovers (e.g., switching from Cool Ranch Doritos to Nacho Cheese Doritos).
• Place stickers, wipe down machines, and make minor adjustments to machinery as needed.
• Push waste totes from the production area to a compactor and return them to the floor.
• Rework products that do not meet quality standards and set them aside.
• Review the production schedule daily and plan for your shift (understanding box requirements).
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues; manual or electric hand jack may be required.
• Stay on the line/department until relieved for breaks; remain actively engaged on the line when possible.

Qualifications

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are willing to work weekends and holidays as well as off shifts.
• You can stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
• You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without accommodation.
• You can repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without accommodation.
• You will regularly wear a hairnet, safety glasses, bump cap, and steel-toed shoes for the duration of the work day.
