The Part-Time 3rd Shift - 500727 position involves constructing boxes and packing them full of products, operating box forming machines, and supporting production lines in a manufacturing facility. As a part-time team member, you would work an average of 24-32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• construct boxes and pack them with Frito-Lay products, either manually or with automated machines
• run, fill, and changeover automated machines that construct boxes
• maintain a consistent supply of the correct cartons to each production line
• sort and remove any bad cartons; recycle all materials in appropriate locations
• perform frequent quality checks, such as ensuring labels, boxes, code dates, and seals are correct
• maintain a clean and safe work area (safety is everyone’s job)
• clean and sanitize lines during changeovers from one product to another
• set up lines during changeover processes (e.g., switching from Cool Ranch Doritos to Nacho Cheese Doritos); may place stickers and wipe down machines
• push waste totes from the production area to a compactor, secure with a latch, and roll back to the production floor
• rework products daily, setting aside items that do not meet quality standards
• review the production schedule daily and understand the number of boxes needed for the shift
• troubleshoot minor mechanical issues; use of manual or electric hand jack may be required
• stay on the line/in the department until relieved for breaks; stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

Qualifications

• You are 18 years of age or older
• You are able to work on weekends, holidays, and off shifts
• You are able to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
• You are able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation
• You will regularly wear a hairnet, safety glasses, bump cap, and steel-toed shoes for the duration of your work day
