Director of Technical Accounting
will build and lead the technical accounting function, ensuring compliance with complex accounting standards and supporting strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong public accounting background who want to make an impact in a high‑growth, cutting‑edge environment. Key Responsibilities:
Establish and lead the technical accounting group, setting policies and processes Research and interpret complex accounting issues (ASC 606, ASC 842, stock‑based compensation, revenue recognition, etc.) Prepare technical memos and documentation for significant transactions and new accounting standards Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Support quarterly and annual reporting, including 10‑Q and 10‑K filings Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership on strategic projects Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required) Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience Big 4 public accounting background strongly preferred Public company experience (either at a public company or auditing public clients) Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting Strong technical writing and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative environment Seniority level
