The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in leading the day‑to‑day operations of the Front Office team at Grand Hyatt San Diego, ensuring an exceptional guest experience consistent with Hyatt’s brand standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a welcoming, efficient, and service‑oriented environment, while also developing colleagues and fostering collaboration across departments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Assist in managing the daily operations of the Front Desk team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Guest Experience: Ensure each guest receives personalized, professional, and seamless service. Handle escalated guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, using Hyatt’s service recovery standards.
Team Management: Support onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of Front Office colleagues. Foster a positive work environment that reflects Hyatt’s culture of care.
Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Front Office and other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, etc.) to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Systems & Standards: Maintain accuracy in PMS (Opera or equivalent), ensure adherence to Hyatt’s policies and procedures, and support the implementation of new systems or service initiatives.
Salary Range The salary range for this position is $61,800 - $74,100. This is the pay range that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
