Job Overview The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for selling the organization’s products and services within the Southeast United States. The role leverages technical expertise, organizational skill, and customer knowledge to influence buyers, apply solutions to their needs, and generate revenue. The Territory Sales Manager manages profit within GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, AR, TN, and NC, while contributing to marketing, market planning, and technical development of our products.
Responsibilities
Manage sales channel partners and sell directly to OEMs and selected direct accounts, sustaining aggressive sales growth rates.
Interpret customer requirements, calculate quotations, negotiate contracts, resolve issues, provide after‑sales support, and collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, and external experts.
Assist distribution with organization, account strategy, territory planning, and administrative duties to ensure high customer satisfaction; develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets, focusing on new account acquisition and profit.
Work with Sales Management to develop yearly booking, sales, and margin goals; create and execute a marketing plan for brand awareness and bookings. Facilitate distributor sales orientation, training programs, and contract negotiations.
Plan and attend trade shows, education and training conferences, and sales meetings; coordinate sales exhibits.
Stay informed of new products, services, and customer‑interested information.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of field sales experience.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups.
Resides in the territory to be managed.
Core Competencies
Proficiency in customer-facing skills.
Excellent oral and written communication, capable of engaging across all levels and in cross‑functional collaborations.
Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business field.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Up to 75% travel expected.
