Job Summary The Workday Integration Lead/Developer primary responsibility will be to provide lead support, development, testing and management of integrations for Hampton Roads Transit’s Workday Implementation Project. Additional responsibilities include reporting, forms, security administration, monitoring and auditing. The role requires a deep understanding and experience with Workday’s integration tools (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors) and HCM integration best practices.
Essential Job Functions
Managing and reporting integration status to the project management team on a weekly basis, including status tracker for all integrations.
Develop integrations utilizing Workday’s integration tools (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services).
Working closely with the implementation partner and HRT resources to manage overall progress and sign off integrations.
Facilitating end-to-end integration testing, working closely with functional teams.
Working with external vendors to provide layouts, requirements gathering, protocols, and understanding the end-to-end integration process.
Knowledge transfer from implementation partner developers to internal resources for ongoing support of integrations.
Developing reports utilizing Workday Report Designer Tools.
Working with implementation partner and HRT internal resources on authentication and SSO.
Assisting in maintaining and testing system configurations and workflows.
Providing support for troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues.
Assisting with development and reporting efforts in Workday’s HCM system.
Creating documentation supporting system design, development, and testing.
Performing maintenance and development work in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Ensuring ongoing secure and supported system operations.
Managing records created and received in compliance with Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policies and Procedures.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Essential To Job Functions
Demonstrated senior-level experience with Workday’s integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio).
Demonstrated experience with Workday Report Designer.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
Experience leading and managing integration projects during Workday implementation, including planning, execution, and risk management.
Technical experience in Workday’s HRMS Systems Administration, Configuration, and Development.
Functional knowledge in HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, or Time Reporting.
Collaboration, analytical, and teamwork skills; ability to work in a collaborative and transparent environment.
Ability to mentor team members and transfer knowledge.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), self-motivation, and multitasking.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Required Software Knowledge And Skills Essential To Job Functions
Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows products (Excel, Word, Access).
Training And/Or Education BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or related technical field.
Required Experience
7+ years of experience leading/managing integrations, with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise integration programs.
7+ years of direct experience in Workday integration development.
7+ years of proven expertise in system auditing for Workday HRMS solution.
7+ years of proven expertise in user authentication, user authorization, and data security.
7+ years of proven development (or application extension) expertise.
7+ years of proven experience creating and updating custom reports using the latest Workday HCM reporting tools.
