Job Summary The Workday Integration Lead/Developer primary responsibility is to provide lead support, development, testing, and management of integrations for Hampton Roads Transit's Workday Implementation Project. Additional responsibilities include reporting, forms, security administration, monitoring, and auditing.
Essential Job Functions
Managing and reporting integration status to the project management team on a weekly basis.
Develop integrations utilizing Workday's integration tools (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services).
Working closely with implementation partner and HRT resources to manage overall progress and sign off integrations.
Facilitating end-to-end integration testing with functional teams.
Working with external vendors to gather requirements and protocols including internal functional leads.
Knowledge transfer from implementation partner developers to internal resources for ongoing support of integrations.
Developing reports utilizing Workday Report Designer tools.
Assisting in authentication and SSO configuration.
Maintaining and testing system configurations and workflows.
Providing support for troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues.
Assisting with development and reporting efforts in Workday's HCM system.
Creating documentation supporting system design, development, and testing.
Performing maintenance and development work consistent with company standards and procedures.
Ensuring secure and supported system operations per records management policies.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
Senior level experience with Workday integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio).
Experience with Workday Report Designer.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience leading and managing integration projects for Workday implementation.
Technical experience in Workday HRMS Systems Administration, Configuration, and Development.
Knowledge in HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, or Time Reporting.
Collaboration, analytical, and teamwork skills.
Ability to mentor team members and transfer knowledge to others.
Excellent communication skills, self‑motivated, multi‑tasking, quality orientation, flexibility.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
Required Software Knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Windows products (Excel, Word, Access) and Workday HCM reporting tools.
Training and Education BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems or related technical field.
Required Experience Utilizing Workday HCM system with the following:
7+ years leading/managing integrations with a track record of complex enterprise integration programs.
7+ years direct experience in Workday integration development.
7+ years proven expertise in system auditing for Workday HRMS solution.
7+ years proven expertise in user authentication, authorization, and data security.
7+ years proven development (or application extension) expertise.
7+ years proven experience in creating and updating custom reports using Workday HCM reporting tools.
