Job Summary Summary: Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients\' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff.

Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
Completes patient intake and reports concerns identified to Surgeon and Anesthesia
Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
Qualifications Education: Associate\'s Degree in Nursing required or Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred; Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred; Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) preferred; Neonatal Advanced Life Support [NALS] - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred; Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience: Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
