We are seeking an experienced RN with a background in same‑day surgery or surgical nursing to lead our pre‑admissions services. In this role you will guide and mentor nursing staff, shape a collaborative environment, and expand your influence in surgical care. What You'll Do
You will take on a lead role, guiding and mentoring nursing staff, and helping shape a collaborative, supportive work environment. Summary
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients’ clinical decision‑making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided safely and competently, providing individualized nursing care, evaluating nursing care for groups of patients, and acting in a lead capacity to other nursing staff. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Complete patient intake and report concerns identified to the Surgeon and Anesthesia team. Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies. Demonstrate best practices for staff to follow. May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments. Qualifications
Education
Associate’s Degree Nursing required or Bachelor’s Degree Nursing preferred. Role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree. Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse (RN) – State License required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred. Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. Experience
Clinical nursing experience 2‑3 years required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with practical nursing principles, patient care by age group, strong written and oral communication, ability to build relationships, and problem‑solving skills. Physical Requirements
