Overview
The Warranty Analyst Engineer plays a vital role in identifying data-driven trends in warranty claims, with a specific focus on commodities within the Infotainment, Body Electronics, and ADAS electrical systems. This position is responsible for analyzing warranty data, identifying recurring issues, and translating findings into actionable insights for cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Service, and Finance. The goal is to enhance product reliability and reduce overall warranty costs. Success in this role requires a proactive and analytical mindset to address quality concerns, drive continuous improvement, and ensure timely and effective resolution of warranty related issues. The Warranty Analyst Engineer will collaborate closely with Engineering and Supplier Quality teams to validate issues, recommend corrective actions, and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of solutions. Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Analytics: Proficient in utilizing Palantir, Stellantis issue tracking systems, and dealer warranty platforms to identify, analyze, and monitor warranty trends. Analyze and categorize incoming warranty claims to pinpoint specific customer concerns, link them to common failure modes, and identify potential root cause areas. Track and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions through to issue closure, ensuring resolution quality and sustainability. Skilled in leveraging advanced technologies, including Machine Learning and AI, to enhance data mining, claims validation, and root cause analysis efforts. Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable product or process improvements. Compile and summarize customer concern insights into clear handover documents, enabling cross-functional teams to lead issue resolution efforts. Support and guide issue owners in conducting root cause analysis and defining effective corrective actions. Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions through to issue closure. Deliver regular updates on warranty-related quality issues, GIM (Global Issue Management) progress, and resolution status during quality reviews and leadership meetings. Process & System Improvement: Foster a lessons-learned culture by systematically capturing and applying insights across vehicle programs, ensuring proactive knowledge sharing across the Stellantis vehicle portfolio to mitigate repeat issues in future models. Uphold compliance in data practices by ensuring all data collection, handling, and reporting activities align with corporate policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative technical field Minimum of 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering, data analysis, business intelligence, or data science Preferred Qualifications
Master\'s degree Programming skills in a statistical or data science language, such as Python or R Proficiency with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense) to create insightful reports and dashboards Familiarity with warranty management systems (e.g., Global Warranty Management) and enterprise data environments (e.g., data lakes, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP). Solid understanding of statistical methodologies for time-to-failure analysis (e.g., Weibull), forecasting, and hypothesis testing Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA) Prior experience working directly with automotive dealer management systems (DMS) data
