About the Opportunity EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services team helps clients achieve and sustain performance by balancing protection of the business with measurable value. In this senior role, you will lead client engagements, build solutions, and innovate across the R&D value chain—from discovery and pre‑clinical research to clinical trials, translational work, and post‑market surveillance.

You will work with large pharma, biotechnology, academic medical centers, health systems, and cancer centers, delivering services in strategic planning, business transformation, operating model optimization, clinical trial acceleration, complex data analytics, research compliance, regulatory affairs, and technology implementation.

Your Key Responsibilities A majority of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences and health domain.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health, or a related field.

3–4 years of relevant experience in management consulting in life sciences and/or health, and/or direct industry experience in an R&D setting.

Working knowledge of key R&D functions (preclinical research, clinical trial execution, regulatory affairs, quality or safety).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience applying structured consulting methods.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, synthesizing complex issues into actionable insights.

Proficiency in core business tools, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Demonstrated executive presence and professionalism in client‑facing settings, engaging senior stakeholders.

Willingness to travel based on project requirements.

Additional Desired Experience

Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in life sciences, business, or public health.

Prior R&D or clinical trials consulting experience.

Experience supporting R&D transformations, operating model design, or process optimization initiatives.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GxP, ICH, FDA) and compliance requirements in R&D environments.

Exposure to tools and platforms used in R&D and clinical development (e.g., CTMS).
