Emergency Management Analyst

The Emergency Management Analyst supports all FEMS IV emergency management functions.
Responsibilities
Emergency Operations Support: Coordinate and support Launch Emergency Operations Center (LEOC) activities, including response activation and system setup during incidents.
Training & Exercises: Develop and facilitate Table Top Exercises (TTX) and Emergency Management Exercises (EME) to maintain readiness and evaluate response capabilities.
Emergency Planning & Documentation: Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of emergency plans, checklists, and standard operating procedures, including the 45th Space Wing Installation Emergency Management Plan.
Interagency Coordination: Collaborate with Air Force, NASA, Brevard County, and other agencies to align Emergency Management plans, policies, and procedures.
Disaster Response Force (DRF) Training: Schedule and conduct training for DRF agencies and emergency coordinators, especially for hurricane preparedness and recovery operations.
Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as directed, including participation in councils, briefings, and support for scenario development and exercise evaluation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred, with at least four (4) years in Emergency Management or a related discipline.
Licensing & Certifications: Must hold a valid Class E Florida driver’s license and certifications including AFEMPC, AF AEROFERC, IC 300/400, and EOC Operations.
Security & Compliance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet all standards outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
Background Requirements: No history of illegal drug use or felony convictions; must comply with drug and alcohol-free workforce policies including random testing.
Communication Skills: Must be fluent in English—able to read, write, speak, and comprehend written instructions and training materials.
Military & Interagency Experience: Honorably discharged from the Armed Services (if applicable) and capable of working with military, federal, and local emergency management authorities.
