Electrical / Control Systems Engineer
who is passionate about designing, programming, and integrating automation systems. This role is heavily focused on
controls and programming — PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA — with the added responsibility of ensuring those systems are properly engineered, installed, and commissioned in the field. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing ladder logic in the office and troubleshooting control panels at a quarry site. Key Responsibilities Program, configure, and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) Develop, test, and optimize control logic for industrial machinery and plant processes Create HMI screens, alarm management, and operator interfaces Support commissioning: bring new systems online, troubleshoot startup issues, and train operators Work with project managers and electricians to ensure proper installation of control hardware Produce and review control schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists Provide on-site and remote support for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and optimization Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, MSHA, OSHA, and other applicable standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (equivalent experience considered) 3+ years of direct experience in
industrial control systems design and programming Proficiency with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred; Siemens and others a plus) Experience with HMI/SCADA software (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware, or similar) Strong knowledge of VFDs, motor controls, and instrumentation Ability to interpret and create electrical/control schematics and panel layouts Solid troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software Willingness to travel to active project sites for commissioning and support Preferred Skills Experience in aggregates, mining, or other heavy industrial sectors Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools Background in low and medium voltage power distribution (480V–4160V) PE license or EIT certification (not required, but valued) What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Health, dental, and retirement benefits Hands-on involvement with high-value, large-scale industrial projects Career growth in a company that is scaling rapidly
