Position Independent Sales Agent

Location Glendale, CA

Role Overview Landstar agents provide sales and operations functions for their clients, with tools, support, and financial backing to grow business. Independent agents can market LTL, TL, Expedite, Intermodal, International, Air, and Heavy Haul services, managing their own business with weekly paid commissions and support services.

Responsibilities

Market and sell transportation services across multiple modalities including LTL, TL, Expedite, Intermodal, International, Air, and Heavy Haul.

Build and maintain client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.

Manage own business operations, including commission tracking and financial reporting.

Leverage Landstar’s tools and support to deliver safety‑first, compliant shipping solutions.

Qualifications

Previous experience in transportation required (Freight Broker, Freight Agent, LTL Sales, National Account Sales, Business Owner, Freight Sales, or Dispatcher).

Strong sales background and ability to work independently.

Knowledge of shipping regulations, safety, and compliance preferred.
