A Day In the Life We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
At Medtronic, the Enabling Technologies (Neurosurgery) Sales Representative has the responsibility and authority to sell all Medtronic Surgical Technologies products to hospitals, physicians and other approved customers within the geographical limits of their territory to attain established quotas and sales objectives. This is a
field based
role.
Responsibilities
Conduct face‑to‑face sales calls with physicians, nurses and other key purchase influencers in the sales territory to demonstrate, in‑service and sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies capital and disposable products.
Execute Sales Action Plans, using own vehicle and transporting some heavy inventory pieces.
Plan, strategise and successfully execute sales calls to all relevant hospital departments, outpatient surgery centres and doctors’ offices in the territory.
Work or attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory.
Provide support and service to clinical personnel as it relates to the Products in a surgical environment.
Maintain any company‑owned property and inventory in good working condition.
Report competitive activity within the territory to the Region Manager, and maintain all records and reports as requested in a timely fashion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those 5 years in medical sales; OR
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of Medtronic Neuroscience (Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist experience or Sales Rep I experience along with 2 years of additional prior sales or clinical experience.

Interacts with a computer for extended periods and communicates with peers and co‑workers.
Required to talk or hear, sit and reach with hands and arms, stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required, e.g., adjust focus.
Position is based out of the representative’s residence where physical effort is minimal but must carry products.
Approximately 50% overnight travel required via rep driving throughout territory; air travel when required.
Must maintain and transport demonstration equipment to customers’ premises; 30% physical handling of this equipment is integral.
Preference given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience.
Must have a valid driver’s licence and active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed.
