Alternative Family Living (AFL) Provider
– Independent Contractor (North Carolina, Rocky Mount, Wilson, Goldsboro area)
Description Open your home to provide an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities a unique opportunity to live with a family unit. AFL living enables a person to live in a private home with a family and receive 24‑hour supports and habilitation.
Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a person interested in becoming an AFL Provider. Your role will include:
Hosting and supporting a resident with intellectual & developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
Providing a stable, caring home environment that promotes daily living skills and independence.
Co‑ordinating with day programs or other services as needed, while ensuring the resident’s overall welfare.
Qualifications & Requirements
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Direct Service Provider (DSP) experience.
None of the positions is an employment relationship; it is an independent contractor arrangement.
Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and a commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
